 Website: www.onewaydropcab.com (the “Website”)
Platform Owner: One way drop cab, a company incorporated in India, having its registered office at R111/4, TNHB Colony, Ayappakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600077 ( “Company”, which expression includes its officers, representatives, successors and permitted assigns).

The Company operates an online platform for facilitating inter-city cab booking and related transportation services (“Services”). Your access and use of this Platform constitutes your acceptance of these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

This document is an electronic record generated by a computer system and does not require physical or digital signatures.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, visiting, or using the Platform or the Services, you (“you”, “your”, “User”) agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with any part of the Agreement, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

We may modify the Terms or Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Platform shall constitute your acceptance of the updated version.


2. Eligibility & User Account

Use of the Platform is available only to individuals who are legally capable of entering into binding contracts under Indian law. Minors or persons incompetent to contract may use the Platform only under the supervision of a lawful guardian.

To make a booking, you may register on the Platform or book through our customer support team. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information

  • Maintain confidentiality of your login credentials

  • Immediately notify us of any unauthorized usage of your account

We reserve the right to decline registrations, suspend accounts, or deny access without assigning reasons.


3. Booking Process

  • Upon successful booking, a confirmation message with a Booking ID will be sent via SMS and/or email.

  • You must present the Booking ID to the driver; failure to do so may result in denial of service.

  • Pickup and drop distances are calculated from the pickup location.

  • Parking, tolls, interstate taxes, entry fees, and other travel-related charges must be paid by you.

  • Vehicle facilities (including AC usage) are subject to the category booked. AC may not operate on steep hilly terrain or when the vehicle is stationary.

  • All discounts apply only to the base fare unless otherwise specified.

  • Vehicle allocation is subject to availability; in case a specific model is unavailable, a similar-category vehicle will be provided.

Modifications

  • Amendments to bookings must be requested at least 10 hours before the pickup time.

  • Requests within 10 hours cannot be accommodated.

  • Amendments are subject to availability and approval by our support team.

Waiting Time & Additional Charges

  • A waiting charge applies after 15 minutes from scheduled pickup.

  • Additional kilometres, unplanned stops, or extra hours will incur extra charges.

Calendar-Day Policy

All bookings are considered on a midnight-to-midnight basis, irrespective of pickup time.

 

Usage Restrictions

Outstation cabs cannot be used for local travel. Unutilized kilometres cannot be used within the city limits of the pickup location.

 

Amending Travel Type Mid-Trip

Requests (e.g., changing one-way to round trip) must be communicated to support. Approval is at the Company’s discretion. Any fare differences must be paid immediately to the driver.

 

Liability Limitations

The Company is not responsible for:

  • Delays due to traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond control

  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings

  • Driver misconduct (though we will attempt to mediate)

  • Any disputes between you and the driver

  • Force majeure events

Drivers are independent partners, and the Company is an aggregator connecting you with service providers.


4. Cancellation Policy

  • You may cancel any trip booked through DropTaxi up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time.

    There are no cancellation charges unless the driver has already arrived at your pickup location.
    If the taxi has reached the customer’s location at the time of cancellation, a one-time fee of ₹300 must be paid directly to the driver.

    You may also request changes to your trip—such as the pickup time, vehicle type, or destination—as long as the request is made at least 8 hours before the scheduled pickup.
    No modifications can be processed within 8 hours of your pickup time.

    Changes to the vehicle type are subject to availability.
    If a customer fails to show up without informing DropTaxi at least 8 hours in advance, no refund will be provided.

5. Payment Terms

Currently, payment must be made directly in cash to the driver  upon completion of the trip.
We may introduce additional payment methods in the future.


6. User Responsibilities & Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post unlawful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or harmful content

  • Upload viruses, malicious code, or harmful programs

  • Impersonate any person or entity

  • Interfere with the Platform’s operations

  • Mine data or use bots, spiders, or similar tools

  • Post content violating intellectual property rights

  • Engage in fraudulent or abusive activities

Any violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.


7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on the Platform—including text, graphics, logos, designs, and software—is the exclusive property of the Company or its licensors.
You may not:

  • Copy, modify, publish, distribute, or commercially exploit Platform content

  • Use trademarks or branding without written permission

  • Create derivative databases using Platform content


8. Platform Role & Disclaimer

The Platform acts solely as an intermediary between users and drivers.
We:

  • Do not control the drivers

  • Do not guarantee the quality, safety, or reliability of rides

  • Are not liable for disputes, delays, errors, or omissions

The Platform and Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities

  • Unauthorized access to your data

  • Any issues arising from interactions with third-party sites

Your sole remedy is to discontinue the use of the Platform.


10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, war, system failures, or government actions.


11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • You violate these Terms

  • We suspect fraudulent or abusive behavior

  • You provide false or incomplete information

Upon termination, your access to the Platform ceases immediately.


12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Any dispute shall be resolved through arbitration in [City, e.g., Chennai], in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
The language of arbitration shall be English.


13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remainder will continue to be enforceable.


14. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the complete understanding between you and the Company regarding the use of the Platform.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.


1. Information We Collect

When you register or book a cab, we collect:

  • Name, mobile number, email address

  • Pickup and drop details

  • IP address, browser type, and device information


2. Consent

By providing your personal information for a transaction, you consent to its usage for that specific purpose.

3. Use of Information

Your information is used for:

  • Processing bookings

  • Communication regarding trips, updates, and promotions

  • Improving Platform performance

  • To drivers fulfilling the service

  • To third-party service providers supporting our operations

  • When required by law or to protect our rights


5. Payment Processing

If online payments are enabled, they will be processed securely through third-party gateways compliant with PCI-DSS standards.
We do not store card information.


6. Third-Party Websites

Once you navigate to a third-party site (e.g., payment processor), you are governed by their terms and privacy policies, not ours.


7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or misuse.
However, we cannot guarantee absolute security.


8. Age of Consent

By using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your state or that a guardian has permitted your use of the Platform.


9. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on the Website.
